The PS3 and Xbox 360 been around for a while now, and for a teenager it’s been pretty much their whole life. There have been so many games, especially recently, that have changed the gaming universe forever and have captured the hearts of millions. Now, gamers are moving to the next level. November 15 and November 22 are the two major console release dates of the year and they are Xbox One and the PS4. Throughout the whole year people have been on the internet, constantly looking at shocking coverage of these next-generation consoles. A great example of this is when Sony publicly stated that they would go completely against the Xbox’s DRM policies at their E3 press conference. For many people, that will go down in gaming history. This upcoming generation has been more exciting than ever before because of social networking and YouTube becoming dominant in people’s lives. The best part is that the recent releases of Grand Theft Auto V and The Last of Us received perfect scores by critics and are extremely loved by gamers and pretty much made the grand finale for the current generation. Now it’s time to see what the next generation has to offer.
Many people bought more PS4s than the people who bought Xbox One, but they both are great consoles. The only difference is that Sony’s PS4 has a greater future. In fact, the new Xbox exclusives Dead Rising 3 and Killer Instinct were greatly reviewed while Sony’s launch day exclusives were Killzone Shadowfall, which was decent and Knack, which was a major disappointment.
As many people know by now, the main reason to get a console this early is to look at the machinery, not to play games. More people recommend that you get the consoles about a year later, which has been proven true, since the new Mario game on the Wii U received greater reviews than any of the new games of next-generation consoles. Just a year ago when the Wii U launched, it was a major disappointment. Almost no one bought it. As far as the machinery goes, both consoles have incredible controllers, great graphics, and memory. Here’s where the differences come: The PS4 has great potential as of right now, but there are some major functions that have been left out that are coming soon,. Besides that, the PS4 has some incredible ideas that gamers can’t wait to see. The Xbox One has more functions that are being used, but it suffers from long loading times and a slower performance. Overall, more people bought the PS4 because it is much cheaper and more critically acclaimed, but the Xbox One does have better launch games. Many gamers can’t wait to see what comes next, and although this was a very hyped launch, the same goes for all; “great things have small beginnings.”
