It was a great season for winter sports, with every single team making it into the State Tournament. All teams played extremely well.

The boys hockey team won the City Tournament against East Boston for the seventh straight year. Mark Guerard ’14 scored the second goal of the game, and stopped a goal from getting in in the last couple of minutes. They made it to the first round of the state tournament and lost in a tough game to Lowell Catholic.

The girls hockey team made it to states as well, with an 8-7-1 record. “The season was a pretty succesful one and we had a lot of fun. The team really develo?ed this year, and was great thanks to Rachel Wells (’14) stepping in and playing goalie,” said Bridget Fehily ’15.

The swim team also had a great season, with many swimmers getting to states, and winning City Championships. “Our record was 8-3 and many swimmers did get into states, like Colby (Cahill), Christian Mojica and Olivia McGrath,” said Emma Houston ’16. “Hopefully next year we have another great season.”

Girls’ basketball also made it into states. “The season was good. Th?re were a lot of new girls who came on to the team and we became so close, said Catherine Coppinger ’16. “We progressed so much over the season and made it into states, where we played North Reading. We were all so sad to see our senior and captain Abigail leave. She’s such an awesome friend and leader to all of us.”

Boys basketball had an amazing season with a 13-7 record, and they made it to the first round of the state tournament.

The track team won Cities again this year. Runners who made it to States include Britney Firmin ‘16 and Malik Anderson ‘14.
